2025 BADG winter talks at Blymhill Village Hall.

The bar will be open from 7pm and meetings start at 7.30pm.

If you're not on our email list for meeting notifications please get in touch.

We're planning our winter 2025/26 talks which will be detailed here later in summer. Thank you to all of those who joined us for this season's talks listed below.

Previous meetings:

7 November - AGM, and speaker Geoff Sansome

Geoff spoke passionately about the highs and lows of working with farmers all over the world.

5 December - Members Night

We heard from three local young farmers: Arable farmer Scott Walker, Hugo Rowland of Spunhill Ltd., and dairy farmer Henry Robinson.

23 January 2025 - Hannah Batty

Hannah is a Nuffield scholar and dairy vet who spent the last two years travelling the world asking “what makes for great teamwork?”  Hannah spoke about all things global agriculture and shared tales from her travels across South America, Australia, Tasmania and Europe.

20 March  - The National Farmers Union's External Affairs Manager Scott Pepe

Scott is one of the lobbying managers in the NFU's Westminster office.  He first joined the NFU in 2017 and before that worked for MPs in Parliament, including running the office of an MP and working for the Deputy Chief Whip.  He has also previously been an adviser in HM Treasury, though he is keen to point out that no changes to APR or BPR were made when he was there!
